Navigating health coverage options as you approach age 65 can feel overwhelming, which is why we’re here to help you feel confident and informed. We offer easy-to-understand, comprehensive tools to guide you through the planning process.

Our educational session provides a 45-minute presentation addressing common questions such as:

  • What costs are associated with Medicare
  • When and how to enroll
  • How Medicare interacts with employer coverage
  • What to consider when evaluating your healthcare needs in retirement
  • Common questions and misconceptions about Medicare

We also explore the types of plans available in your area and what each one includes.

Featured Presenter: Bill Wethington

Bill Wethington is the owner of Wethington Senior Benefits. Bill has been a licensed insurance agent and agency owner since 1975. He is a graduate of Walton Verona High School and Eastern Kentucky University. Bill and his wife Ann recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They have three children and four grandchildren. Bill is a lifelong resident of Boone County and has lived in Verona, Ky for 40 years. He has been very active in his community having served on Walton City Council for two terms, 24 years as a member of the Walton-Verona Board of Education and currently is in his third term as a commissioner of the Bullock Pen Water District. Bill and Ann are members of New Bethel Baptist Church where Bill serves as a Sunday School teacher and Deacon.

Featured Presenter: Samantha Wethington

Samantha Wethington is a licensed life and health agent with the state of Kentucky and has been with Wethington Senior Benefits since 2021. She started working with the ACA/Obamacare and has since picked up the intricacies of Medicare very quickly. Prior to her work in insurance, she was a lead supervisor at a customer service call center and also attended nursing school. Samantha has lived in Walton, KY her entire life and graduated from Walton-Verona High School in 2006. She still lives in Walton with her husband, son, their puppy, and guinea pigs. In addition to working, Samantha also cares very much for the school system she grew up in and her son currently attends. She has served as a PTA board member since 2022 in various roles at Walton-Verona. Samantha has always had a special calling for helping people and the caring attitude to go along with that. She is tremendously proud of the name her family has made for themselves in the insurance world and in general. Samantha looks forward to bringing her heart and extensive knowledge of customer service and health insurance to continue the legacy for many years to come!

Steve Wethington is the newest member of Wethington Senior Benefits, a family business based in Walton, KY, where he helps clients navigate their Medicare options. With over 25 years of experience as an audio engineer and nearly 20 years in the photo restoration field, Steve has always prioritized his role as a customer advocate, ensuring his clients receive the care and attention they deserve. Now, he’s focused on making a meaningful impact by guiding people through the often complex world of Medicare, providing the security and peace of mind they need.
